SRI K. V. VENKATESHAIAH
K A S, Additional Municipal Commissioner(retd)
Born on 22 August 1946 in the village of Thippadoddi, Mulabagal Taluk, Kolar District, Karnataka, Sri K. V. Venkateshaiah pursued his education in Science and Law, earning a B.Sc. degree and an LL.B. He entered public service and served the people of Karnataka in several important administrative capacities, including as Tahsildar and Assistant Commissioner, before retiring as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru. His career reflects a life devoted to public administration, responsibility and service to society.
What makes the presence of Sri K. V. Venkateshaiah especially meaningful to us on this occasion is his personal family connection with one of India’s greatest philosopher-statesmen and educators, Late President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Sri Venkateshaiah is described as a distant cousin and relative of Dr. Radhakrishnan. During Dr. Radhakrishnan’s lifetime, they maintained correspondence, and Sri Venkateshaiah recalls receiving a personal letter from the Late President on the occasion of his marriage.
